·  Take pictures of individuals, families, and small groups, either in studio or on location.

·  Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed.

·  Determine desired images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.

·  Edit photos by using Photoshop, Photo Mechanic

Assistant Photo Editor, Jan 2013 – May 2013

·  Supervise and coordinate work of staff photographers.

·  Manage website articles by posting photos by publication deadline.

·  Meet frequently with photographers to discuss projects and resolve problems such as, exposure, cropping, editing and caption writing

·  Upload photo galleries to Flickr, create custom HTML code for website. Embed slideshow into story with captions and correct editing.

Member since 2011: Attended seminars including a trip to Washington D.C. for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration along with an arial seminar in the Spring of 2013 covering the flooding in Mount Pleasant, MI.

Member since 2011: Attended competitions in 2012; While there I was able to have my portfolio critiqued by several mid-michigan photographers gaining contacts and mentors.  

National Press Photographers Association 

Member since 2012: Entered photos in 2012 competition. 

Additional Skills 

Previous College Courses

Completed courses in Communication and Special Education for three complete semesters at CMU. The courses required patients, understanding, and care for those around you. These skills help when going out into community to get access for certain assignments.

Community Volunteer

Volunteer at the Herbee Clinic, a non-profit medical center offered once a month to Berrien County residents without health insurance. The make shift office is located at the Salvation Army in Benton Harbor, MI. While there I was able to obtain a close relationship with the patients, doctors and volunteers creating a photo story showing how a commuity comes together in times of need.
